On an otherwise reasonable evening in July, more than 1,000 people packed an auditorium in Boulder, Colorado, for the culmination of the 2014 Unreasonable Institute. They came to see 11 ventures present their solutions to some of the world’s greatest challenges.

Watch here as 2014 Unreasonable Fellow Eyal Halamish describes OurSay, an Australia-based startup that provides a sort of virtual town hall where citizens can not only interact with their leaders but create real policy proposals. OurSay is already gaining traction in South and Southeast Asia and Australia, where it has connected both rural and urban citizens with more than 100 leaders, from the Australian Prime Minister to local council members in India.
