There was a conspiracy going around our film team that Myanmar was specifically created for photographers and filmmakers because it was hard not to find incredible and picturesque moments everywhere you looked. For this reason, we decided to create a vignette specifically for highlighting the beauty of Myanmar’s environments, people, and the magic that surrounded us.
We traveled to Mandalay and filmed at the U Bein bridge – the world’s longest teak bridge (1.2km long). Then we ventured west to the ancient city of Bagan, where 2,200 Buddhist temples remain intact and open to the public. Finally, we visited the Shwedagon pagoda in Yangon – the most sacred Buddhist pagoda for the Burmese with relics of the past four Buddhas enshrined within.
