The day before arriving in Myanmar, Carly Cooper, Director of Strategic Initiatives at SAP and Unreasonable At Sea learning partner, led a Women for Better Business workshop on board the ship open to any interested women traveling on the voyage.
Myanmar was a country of astounding beauty. Seen here is U Bein bridge in Mandalay.
Our last evening in Myanmar, the Unreasonable Founders met with local entrepreneurs in Yangon at a casual dinner event.
After Myanmar, the new ‘deep dive’ format was introduced as a way to provide intensive, targeted feedback in order to solve the most pressing problems faced by the participating entreprenuers. Unreasonable Mentor Ken Banks, founder & CEO of Frontline SMS, gave pointers to Protei during one of their deep dives.
Joining the ship in Myanmar, Abby Jung of Synergy Social Ventures shared her experience during a Fireside Chat with Daniel.
Shortly before reaching India, a social event hosted for faculty, staff, and Unreasonables onboard the Explorer saw Shivananda Salgame of Guru-G in conversation with Stanford Professor Armin Rosencranz, an expert on environmental law in India.
What Happened Over the Course of the Week
Leaving Singapore, our ship made its course for Mynamar, a country short distance awaay geographically, but a world apart economically and developmentally. Here our team discovered a land of immense beauty and immense resourcefulness. Myanmar proved to be the perfect testing ground for many of our entrepreneurs products. Meanwhile, life and work on the ship reached a crescendo as we charted our way onwards toward India.
