Work Shop on the Stern of the Ship - [ just after leaving Ensenada, Mexico ] As part of the program, we run daily workshops from 10am - 12:30pm while on the ship. This was one of our very first breakout sessions in a workshop.

Team Retreat Before the Voyage – [ San Diego, California ]

Dinner in Ensenada – [ A semi-tasty Mexican restaurant in the heart of Ensenada ]

Our Home for the Next 100 Days – [ the first time we met the ship in San Diego ]
Unreasonable@Sea was created in partnership with Semester at Sea. Together we are working on shaping the future of education while accelerating the growth of unreasonable entrepreneurs. And together our home is the MV Explorer.

Guru-G Team Cranking – [ half way between Mexico and Hawaii ]
The team at Guru-G is working through a new branding strategy to ensure their disruptive platform will get into the hands of teachers around the world. To date, they are in 3,000 schools but their hope is to change that to 300,000 schools.
First Day of Class – [ About 1,000 Miles West of Mexico ]
Today was our first day of class. George Kembel (co-founder of Stanford’s d.school) and Daniel Epstein (founder of the Unreasonable Institute) have teamed up to teach a class with roughly 200 students on design thinking and entrepreneurship in to solve our greatest challenges.

What Happened Over the Course of the Week

In the first week of the program we brought together the community, set the tone for the voyage, touched land in Mexico, and sailed nearly 4,000 nautical kilometers towards the shore line of Hawaii’s beautiful islands.
