Our company was founded in 2015 on the belief that we shouldn't have to choose between the meat we love and a thriving planet.

We’ve already produced many of the world’s cultured meat breakthroughs:
  • World’s first cultured beef meatball in 2016
  • World’s first cultured chicken & duck in 2017
  • Largest Series B funding round to date in the category in 2020

But the biggest milestone is still to come: bringing cultivated meat to consumers. Our pilot plant facility is our first step towards commercial-scale production. Working alongside our regulatory partners, we hope to share our first products with consumers by the end of 2021. The US is going to be our first market, but our ambitions are global.
