Over 1.2 billion people don't have access to electricity in their homes, while nearly 2 billion people lack regular access to electricity. Sun King designs, manufactures, distributes, and finances solar-powered home energy systems and appliances for those without access to a consistently reliable and affordable electrical grid. Their vision is that smart design, efficient engineering, and innovative distribution strategies can make dirty, polluting kerosene lanterns a thing of the past. To date, Sun King has sold over 7 million solar-powered lanterns and home energy systems, impacting more than 20 million people in 62 countries. In the process, more than 1.3 million metric tons of carbon dioxide have been offset.
