Tambe and AMIS Cameroon attended the 2012 Unreasonable Institute. If you want to read more and connect with him click here to see his Unreasonable Profile.

Tambe Agbor: Growing up in a family of 12 children, Tambe was often ashamed to tell anyone that he was the son of a farmer, watching his parents choose between school or healthcare for their family.

During his studies, Tambe researched profit margins for Cameroonian farmers and saw how many lacked access to basic price and demand information about their crops–the key to a sustainable profit. He resolved to do something about it and is motivated by a desire to help the children of farmers have every reason to be proud.

AMIS-CAMEROON: Is an information service provider for farmers through SMS which connects farmers and consumers. Tambe and his team address the critical absence of a coordinated logistics infrastructure with partners from transport sector to ensure movement of products from farms in the South to markets in the North .
