UNESCO states that 38 percent of African adults are illiterate, making it the only continent where more than half of parents are not able to help their children with homework. Eneza's mission is to make 50 million youth across rural Africa smarter. Today, they are the fastest growing mobile education application in Africa, providing universal access to affordable, quality, lifelong learning through ubiquitous mobile technology. Eneza's educational content is aligned to the local context, and the company uses one of the most common forms of technology in Africa: the mobile phone. As a social enterprise, they reinvest their resources to educate low-income earners at scale, 70 percent of them living in rural areas. Through a dedicated and passionate team of experienced teachers, Eneza makes affordable education available to those who have limited access to it. To date, there are over 4,000,000 learners taking mobile courses through Eneza.
