In the U.S., our Foundation is located in the San Francisco Bay and the Metro Denver Areas where most of our employees live and work, and where we strive to make a positive and enduring impact on our communities.
Although we no longer accept unsolicited grant requests, we continue our presence through smaller, targeted grants in our core priorities of strengthening families, supporting children and youth, leadership development, civic participation and urban issues, the arts, special projects, and technology.

In the San Francisco Bay Area, we recognize that there is great need throughout the region, but have chosen to focus our giving mainly in the South Bay. Our grants are most particularly in the San Mateo area because it is where our employees live and work. We also support organizations based in other geographic areas that provide support and programming to the South Bay.
Recently, we’ve added wireless technology as one of our key initiatives. Since Vodafone is in the business of wireless technology, we hope to leverage our knowledge and experience to seek new technologies that help solve some of the critical issues around the world. The Wireless Innovation Project™ is a competitive style of grantmaking that seeks wireless technology solutions to some of the greatest challenges today.
