Mission Zero is a developer of mass decarbonization products. Our Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology drastically reduces the energy cost of atmospheric carbon capture and regeneration, using an electrochemical regeneration process to efficiently separate CO2 from a solvent. Mission Zero captures carbon the same way biology does. The company’s goal is to commoditize atmospheric carbon and to smoothen demand in downstream industries that sequester and utilize CO2, as well as to provide a cost-effective method for direct air capture. Mission Zero is building a pilot plant commissioned by the British government and is expected to be operational by Q3 2023.

Notable Achievements

  • Raised £3.6M from Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Anglo American
  • UK Government funded (£3M) Pilot Plant
  • Recognised with $1M award as one of top 15 CDR technologies in the world by the Elon Musk funded CDR X-Prize.
