Husk Power Systems designs, builds, owns, and operates one of the world's lowest-cost hybrid power plant and distribution networks in India and Tanzania. Their 25-250 kW mini-power plants convert agricultural waste and solar energy into affordable electricity for people in rural areas. With its proprietary system that combines solar PV, biomass gasification, and batteries, the company provides decentralized, affordable, and reliable power to rural communities and businesses from 100 percent renewable energy sources -- 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Husk offers customers a flexible pay-as-you-go energy service, using a mobile-enabled smart metering system. Its solution is grid-compatible, meaning Husk can roll it out quickly and cost effectively to support national electrification plans.
