Since 1981 Ashoka has been dedicated to developing models for collaboration and design infrastructure needed to advance the field of social entrepreneurship and has specifically invested and supported over 2,000 social entrepnreurs world wide. Ashoka U supports universities and colleges that seek to be leaders in social entrepreneurship education. They foster and accelerate teaching, research, and action in social entrepreneurship to help institutions set a new standard of excellence in the field.
