Packaging that never becomes waste
Shellworks produces a new generation of materials and packaging that are like plastic in performance but zero-waste wherever they end up.
Shellworks wants to materialize a better future by eliminating plastic pollution. The company produces a material called Vivomer, which is made by microbes in a fermentation process and naturally decomposes in a variety of end-of-life scenarios.
Shellworks supplies the personal care industry today and plans to move into larger markets. The company is continuously innovating new sustainable materials to address packaging challenges that cannot be addressed with traditional plastic packaging.
