Please join Barclays and Unreasonable on Friday, October 18 - 19, 2024 for the Unreasonable Impact Exclusive Forum, held at the unique venue of Callicoon Hills located deep in the Catskills in Callicoon Center, NY, about 2.5 hours northwest of New York City.

Throughout the event, you will meet growth-stage ventures that were handpicked over a 12-month selection process for their promise of profitably addressing key environmental issues while creating the jobs of tomorrow.

As a guest, you will have the chance to be immersed amongst this portfolio of scalable and impactful businesses while experiencing the uniqueness of an Unreasonable-run program. You will be joined alongside select leaders in top-tier venture funds, foundations, private equity institutions, and family offices to meet with these entrepreneurs in an intimate and connected setting.

We invite you also to join us for lunch on the 18th, giving you additional time to connect with the entrepreneurs and other guests. If you'd like to join us for lunch please arrive at 11:00 am. If you will not join us for lunch please arrive at 12:00 pm.

This gathering includes a day of meeting and learning about these brilliant growth-stage ventures and will continue through the evening with a drinks reception and dinner. We also invite you to stay the night with us at Callicoon Hills (free of charge and including breakfast in the morning), giving you the opportunity to join our Fireside Chats after dinner to hear the stories of three of our brilliant entrepreneurs, plus additional networking time with the community. What are the costs?

Apart from being responsible for your own travel to and from the venue, there is no cost for attendance.

How do I get to Callicoon Hills?

Attendees are responsible for their own travel arrangements. Options below:

COACH BUS - A complimentary coach bus will be provided departing from the Barclays Manhattan office (745 7th Ave) at 8:45am EST on Friday, October 18th (please reach by 8:30am to avoid delays) and returning to the Barclays office after lunch on Saturday, October 19th, leaving Callicoon Hills at ~1:45pm EST. Bus time is subject to change; any changes and additional details will be sent to those who RSVP for the coach bus service.
PRIVATE CAR - Alternatively, you can drive or organize your own private car service if the bus is not convenient for you. There is ample parking on site. The address of the venue is: Callicoon Hills, 1 Hills Resort Rd, Callicoon Center, NY 12724

If I need to leave early, can I?

We ask that you stay with us at minimum until the main program ends at 1 pm on Saturday, October 19; the coach bus will leave ~1:45 pm EST after lunch. If you do wish to leave earlier than that, we highly recommend driving to the venue or arranging a private car service ahead of time. The venue is far from metropolitan areas and it is nearly impossible to get taxis/Uber from the venue. Please let Sahil know by September 30th if you plan to leave early: [email protected].

Are food and drink provided?

Lunch on the 18th + 19th, snacks, a private drinks reception and intimate seated dinner are included as part of the event. All will be prepared by an award-winning chef team. Please be sure to let us know whether you'll plan to stay for lunch on the 19th when you RSVP.

What was the process and criteria you used to select the participating entrepreneurs?

The cohort of participating growth stage ventures are for-profit businesses based in the Americas with solutions to the world’s greatest environmental and social challenges, aiming to reduce environmental risks and ecological scarcities, and promote sustainable development. The ventures have each been hand picked by our venture selection team based on their impact, scalability of the business model and technology, and the strength of the team.
