Abdul has 20+ years experience across financial services and entrepreneurship.

At Barclays he is a Managing Director in our SME business, responsible for industries including Agriculture, Technology, Healthcare & Real Estate. This includes working with a diverse range of businesses, from startups to high-growth companies. He is also responsible for managing our start up growth ecosystem ‘Eagle Labs’.

 

Abdul is passionate about entrepreneurship and has founded and chairs his family group of companies with ventures across software, clean energy as a service, and telecoms. Currently he is exploring impact of AI and associated tech to change lives of some of the world’s most under privileged children.

He is a chartered accountant and holds an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Other interests include playing sports badly, charitable work, travelling and cooking.
