Adair Gallo is the co-founder and CEO of Terraxy, a Saudi Arabia–based startup building soils that remain fertile for centuries. Inspired by the legendary Amazonian Terra Preta soils, Terraxy developed Carbosoil, a proprietary technology that transforms biochar, a highly stable and functional form of carbon, into the first long-lasting soil amendment proven to work in alkaline desert soils. By locking carbon permanently in the ground while restoring soil fertility, Terraxy is enabling large-scale greening in some of the most challenging environments on Earth.
