My personal career mission is to help reduce global emissions - to a major extent. I believe this can only be done by creating sustainable solutions that make money for end-users; you cannot rely on people's goodwill to make the necessary change.

 

At Exergyn we've developed:

1) an ENGINE THAT RUNS ON HOT WATER (the first new class of heat-engine since the diesel engine was invented in 1893), and

2) a REFRIGERANT-FREE HEAT PUMP.

 

Our heat pump has the potential for the greatest level of savings & carbon reduction. If it were 100% deployed across its target market, removing refrigerants entirely, it could reduce global carbon emissions by almost 20%.

 

I've also written two kids' novels, the first of which is set in the future when Earth is covered in water due to climate change (it's more humorous than it sounds!). Before co-founding Exergyn, I'd go into schools and explain to my 11-year-old audience that the reason I set the book in 2096 is because that is the world they will bequeath to their kids and to their grandkids.
