Alex Brown

Alex is from Michigan, and studied a medley of biochemistry, math, screenwriting, and philosophy at the University of Michigan, ultimately writing an honors thesis in the philosophy department about evolutionary game theory, emergent structures, and paradoxical behavior (essentially, what's a mathematical argument for how can altruism evolve?). He worked at the Center for Consciousness studies investigating integrated information theory, and how network behavior shifts during shifts of consciousness. Before starting Alga, Alex was the Chief of Staff of Engineering at LiveRamp. In his free time, he likes to surf, play soccer, and try to build chess engines.
