Ana Perales is the Head of Customer Strategy and Propositions in the Business Bank. Ana and her team work across the Business Bank to build a customer led strategy that shapes how we want to serve different customer segments; informing our priorities, developing and delivering new propositions and transformational change.
Ana started her career in strategy consulting after completing a PhD in organisational strategy. Having worked in Barclays for 10 years on a number of roles, from operations to product development, she joined Moneysupermarket in 2010 to gather first-hand experience of a digital business. She returned to Barclays in 2011, ran the online investment execution only proposition for 4 years and before joining the Business Bank her role has focused on the opportunities that emerging technology (and not that emerging, e.g. APIs, Artificial Intelligence), can have on the business, the economy and society as a whole.
Prior to her role in the Business Bank, Ana was in Barclay Ventures where she supported the creation of Conception X, a venture builder that creates early stage deep tech start-ups from PhD students in leading universities. launched in the UCL Faculty of Engineering, and now supported by Barclays Eagle Labs.
In her spare time, she enjoys open water swimming, enjoying the outdoors with her husband and 1 year old puppy, reading and when possible, travelling.
