Unreasonable Mentors

Anna Rios

Serial Entrepreneur, Former Secretary of State

Anna is an Unreasonable Mentor. Anna has participated in 3 programs, including Unreasonable Impact Asia Pacific 2019, and has advised over 39 Unreasonable companies.
Anna grew up in the Cambodian countryside after the Khmer Rouge period, with fond memories of military bases, the older generation telling her stories under the stars, and playing in the rice fields with her cow named Star. Adopted by a Thai family at the age of 12, her Thai father taught her the ways of Asian business. At the age of 16, she opened her first company, falling in love with the art of making profit while also keeping customers happy. Since then she has opened a range of companies - including nightclubs, casinos, restaurants, family karaoke clubs, an art dealership, and more - and until a few years ago, was responsible for 400 staff. Also a former Secretary of State, Anna is now pursuing a more quiet life in Siem Reap with her dog named Excellency Ham. Currently she advises foreign investors who want to start large businesses in Cambodia ranging from agriculture, manufacturing, real estate and more.
