Anuj Sharma is the Founder of ALSiSAR Impact which is Asia's first and only 'place based investing' incubator - accelerator with a specific focus on Himalayan and Frontier markets of South Asia. He has 2 decade of experience working at the intersection of Impact Investing | Fund Management | Incubation Acceleration| Advocacy for economic resilience of local communities across South Asia. ALSiSAR Impact has a portfolio of 30 social start-ups including largest portfolio of social start-ups in the Himalayan region (Kashmir to Kohima), and significant portfolio in South Asia’s frontier market to empower local communities, women and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Close to 25% of humanity depend on Himalaya directly for its survival and is the most climate vulnerable ecosystem of the globe which is also most vulnerable for women.
He has worked in 16 countries (US, Europe, Middle East, Asia). He founded South Asia's first transaction advisory firm in Impact Investing in Social Enterprise landscape in 2008, and worked on the largest number of Impact Investing transactions in past one decade, and one of the few impact investing professional to have worked across South Asia especially in Conflict zone, and entire Himalayan region
