Ashley D. Bell is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Redemption Bank. He is an accomplished attorney, banking professional, and serial entrepreneur. He is a Georgia-based attorney and political adviser who founded and currently serves as CEO of Ready Life, a fintech revolutionizing the home-buying experience for Black Americans by removing the use of credit scores. He also helms the Black-led investor group preparing to acquire the Utah-based, non-minority-owned Holladay Bank & Trust, a first-of-its-kind transaction that will create Redemption Bank, pending regulatory approval. Ashley’s legal expertise spans public policy, business, and banking, and he is the former White House Policy Advisor for Entrepreneurship & Innovation in the Office of American Innovation. In 2018, Ashley was tapped to lead the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Southeast Region. He co-founded the National Black Bank Foundation alongside frequent collaborator Bernice King, daughter of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ashley has an ownership interest in P3 Media, a Black and Jewish film production company flipping the Hollywood model on its head, and board member of the Foley Foundation. His commitment to unlock doors for families previously overlooked by our current evaluation system is the reason behind Ready Life. Ashley believes homeownership should be based on cash flow, not a credit score. Ready Life removes traditional barriers to focus on what matters—the ability to pay. As CEO of Ready Life, Ashley empowers working families through financial literacy education to break the cycle of financial exclusion and build real wealth for future generations.
