Astrid is founder of Haofood a food science and technology company that develops alternative protein. Her desire to found Haofood stemmed upon the mission to sustain happiness from good food forever. Aware of the sustainability, food security and ethical issues surrounding meat, she realised that the world’s current meat consumption trends could not be maintained indefinitely. She seeks to see alternative protein stand toe to toe as a primary protein source in order to preserve the Earth and feed the generations to come. Prior to founding Haofood, Astrid has 17+ years of professional experience in nutrition, healthcare and gastronomy industry with key focus in Southeast Asia, China & United Kingdom region.
