Ben Tarbell

Ben Tarbell is Co-Founder and CEO of Ebb Carbon. Ebb's electrochemical technology tackles several of the world's most urgent challenges at once: freshwater supply, low-carbon reactants for mining, and atmospheric carbon dioxide removal. Previously, Ben was VP of Products at SolarCity, helping scale it from zero to IPO and $6B valuation. He then launched Mosaic's residential solar loan program, which in its time was the largest source of residential solar financing in the U.S. at several billion dollars a year. He led the team at Google X launching new climate technologies and businesses and led the sustainable design practice at IDEO. Ben has invested in dozens of climate startups, both personally and at climate-focused venture firms. He serves on the investment advisory committee at PowerHouse and on the board of GlobalGiving. He holds an MS in Engineering Design and an MBA from Stanford, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell.
