Ben Witherall is a corporate finance lawyer who focuses on private equity, M&A, and debt and equity capital markets transactions. He advises clients located throughout Asia, including Singapore, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and China, as well as American and European clients on their Asia transactions.
Ben has extensive and varied experience advising public and private companies, start-ups, founders, venture capital and private equity funds and investors, and financial institutions on a wide range of corporate transactions including: international and domestic mergers, acquisitions, disposals, investments (seed, preferred series, and pre-IPO), and joint ventures; fund formations and fund portfolio investments; and public and private securities offerings, IPOs, block trades, debt security issuances, and secondary fund-raisings. He also provides general advice to corporate clients on company, commercial, and governance matters.
Ben is part of the Firm's Technology Practice and also advises clients on technology-focused transactions in the region, including in relation to blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
