My mission is to help identify the clearest paths for economical, efficient and immediate energy solutions. Energy has always fascinated me - the way we get electricity, power, goods, clean water. When I was pursuing my PhD at Stanford, the driving force for me was to create technology that can make a more immediate impact. Spending day and night at the Stanford Labs for nearly eight years while also swimming for the USA Swimming National Team, I invented a new engine technology that can make moving goods cheaper and use existing infrastructure to do it.
I’m proud to have turned my PhD thesis into ClearFlame, a company for which I raised 50 million dollars and led teams to commercialize the technology with some of the largest fleets in the country, demonstrating a pathway for a transportation industry revolution. The technology was first backed by the Department of Energy, the National Science Foundation, USDA, multiple VCs, and many more. I’m grateful to my partners in both the public and private sectors who supported me throughout this journey.
My specialty is turning ideas into real-world solutions that make money. It takes deep expertise in energy systems, experience and proven leadership ability to commercialize real-world solutions. I look forward to working with partners who understand these challenges and are equally committed to solving them for our climate, for our health, and for our future.
I grew up in Seattle, and did my undergrad and graduate work at Stanford. I am an engineering PhD by training, but I enjoy using a wide range of technical, business, and analytical skills.
