Cesar is an Unreasonable Fellow and Mentor. Cesar was part of Unreasonable Impact Asia Pacific 2024, and has advised over 12 Unreasonable companies.
Cesar Jung-Harada is a French-Japanese designer, environmentalist, educator, and entrepreneur based in Singapore, with a passion for ocean technology, impact innovation, and education. Most recently, he served as an Associate Professor of Design at the Singapore Institute of Technology. A former Researcher and Project Leader at MIT (US), he holds two master's degrees and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Design and Ocean Innovation at the CNAM (Arts et Metiers, France). As the founder of MakerBay LTD (Hong Kong Makerspace network) and Scoutbots LTD (ocean robotic startup), Cesar serves as a Trustee on the boards of HBKU (Qatar) and the Wyng Foundation (Hong Kong). He frequently delivers workshops and keynote speeches at international conferences. Notably, he was the opening speaker for the ocean track at the UN COP21 Climate Conference (Paris Agreement) and has presented his work at Harvard and at over 20 TED and TEDx events.
