Unreasonable Mentors
Chris Brown
Product Marketing Manager with experience in messaging, branding, market research, and sales
Chris is an Unreasonable Mentor. Chris was part of Project Literacy Lab 2017, and has advised over 13 Unreasonable companies.
Chris began his career in education as an intern with McGraw-Hill Higher Education while enrolled as a student at Gettysburg College. He used his liberal arts education in English Literature and Spanish to transition into a full-time market development role with McGraw-Hill upon graduation. After a year of managing all the market development events across his assigned business unit, Chris took a field sales position with McGraw-Hill in Raleigh, NC. It was in the field that Chris gained valuable experience selling technology solutions and managing complex customer relationships. He then moved into a marketing position where he was responsible for sales training, sales enablement, creating and implementing effective sales tools, and refining the product story for McGraw-Hill's World Languages titles.
Chris joined Pearson to step into a product marketing position so he could be more closely aligned with product development. It is at Pearson that Chris has been focused on market research, customer-centric product development, product messaging, and product positioning.
