Christine is an Unreasonable Mentor. Christine was part of Unreasonable Impact Asia Pacific 2017, and has advised over 14 Unreasonable companies.
Christine began her career in the mid 90s as a NASA Global Change Fellow and has been working on global environmental issues such as climate change, water risk, and sustainable finance ever since. In 2009 she founded Chan Environmental Consulting, a private practice providing sustainable environmental strategies for large investors, corporates, governments, and multilateral donors. She also leads the nonprofit Future of Finance, an educational platform producing educational events in sustainable and green finance trends. Past topics have included microfinance, China's green finance policies, ESG investing perspectives, and climate-related financial disclosures. Christine holds a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island, an MBA from HEC Paris, and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College. She serves on the steering committee for the Alliance for Global Water Adaptation, technical working groups of the Climate Bonds Initiative, and is an Advisor on the Green Economy to Friends of the Earth. She also serves as a 2016-17 Mentor to women leaders in The Women's Foundation best-in-class Mentoring Programme.
