David is an Unreasonable Fellow. David was part of Unreasonable Impact Americas 2023.
Founder, stealth venture — building a science-based, AI-first institution intended to be global in scale and structured as a purpose-trust-held public benefit corporation paired with a 501(c)(3).
David has dedicated himself to building and backing efforts to solve hard, largely mission-shaped problems and raised ~$300 million for the seven companies that he co-founded or actively fundraised for from the board. His interest in AI started with early exposure to the Eliza software and boyhood coding/robotics summer camps, before teaching himself Java and maturing with (pre-ChatGPT) GPT-3.
He began his career pioneering internet general management, entrepreneurial corporate development, and consultative sales of strategic technology and services.
Later, as CTO, David co-founded NetworkOil, an industrial energy equipment online marketplace that was renamed Network International and acquired by Liquidity Services (NASDAQ: LQDT) — David's first exit. Then, as sole manager of seed fund Aquacopia, David led early investments in Open Blue, InnovaSea, Futuna, Nutrinsic, and Litchfield Farms. Most recently, from 2017 to 2025, he led the food and feed from CO₂™ bio company, NovoNutrients, that cleanly transformed carbon dioxide emissions into alternative protein ingredients. He pivoted it, became CEO, and personally invested in it over multiple rounds, before handing it off to a public company CEO. Princeton economics A.B., computer science studies.
