With 19 years’ experience in Investment Banking and Wealth Management, Diaraye is the lead Private Banker for East Africa.

 

After a career in New York, providing capital market solutions to US Municipalities and states, Diaraye joined Barclays in 2010 where she has been working with Ultra High Networth Clients in East, West an Southern Africa to help them invest and manage their wealth.

 

Diaraye is a Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Advocate leading impactful change in the Private Bank and within the wider Group.

 

Outside of her professional setting, Diaraye is a handball enthusiast. She has chaired one of the UK’s leading handball clubs. She coached premier league men teams in national and European competitions, and created the club’s junior program for East London teenage boys and girls, using sports to build their leadership skills and teamwork spirit. Diaraye now sits on several boards, England Handball, British Handball, and Europe's Forum Club Handball as a Non-Executive Director.

Diaraye studied at Northeastern University, Boston, and NYU Stern School of Business, New York.
