Edlyn Moy
Former Head, Executive Office, Alternative Energy and Regions at BP

Edlyn has worked internationally for over 25 years. Her most recent role was as Head of Executive Office, Alternative Energy for BP in London, where she had a key position in shaping BP’s alternative energy strategy, driving performance in BP’s renewable energy businesses, supporting major new investment in solar, and influencing the organisation culture and processes to underpin a step-change growth in BP’s alternative energy portfolio. She also served as Chief of Staff for managing BP’s Executive Board processes, as well as supporting BP’s CEO in his chairing role of the Oil & Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI). The OGCI is a CEO-led consortium that aims to accelerate the response to climate change by leveraging the collective strength of its member companies to expand the pace and scope of transitioning to a low-carbon future.
Prior to this, Edlyn was the first female President of CAPCO (China American Petrochemical Company), one of BP's most established Asian joint ventures. She was also BP’s Head of Country for Taiwan. Throughout her career with BP, Edlyn has held a variety of leadership roles in strategy, marketing, finance, treasury, and global optimization. She has also contributed to joint venture stewardship as a board director of BP’s joint ventures in Asia.
Prior to BP, Edlyn was a senior commercial lawyer with Russell McVeagh in New Zealand.
As a leader, Edlyn is passionate about diversity and inclusion, and believes in the importance of corporate social responsibility. She has deep cross-cultural experience through having lived/worked in Taiwan, Hong Kong, UK, New Zealand, US, Fiji, Australia, and China. She has served on the steering committee of BP’s Women’s International Network and as a board director of CAPCO Foundation (a charitable foundation with a mission to support education, culture, medical and environmental causes), a board director of the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei and a member of the Chamber’s CSR committee, and a member of the American Chamber of Commerce.
Edlyn enjoys devoting time in a mentoring and advisory capacity. As the proud mother of a child who learns differently, Edlyn is active in supporting and advising organisations that recognise, and seek to harness, the potential and creativity of the 1 in 5 children who learn differently.
