Emily Yao is a design strategist at Fuseproject and a former social entrepreneur. She's passionate about helping organizations and communities design for healthier futures, even when change is hard at the start. Emily has 8+ years of experience in bringing behavioral change and innovation to the tech sector, partnering with organizations like IBM, Apple, and Samsung. She also has 4+ years applying design to social impact, specifically in health, food, and clean energy sectors. As a social entrepreneur, Emily designed and launched products and services that empowered kids to cook and eat healthy. Her startup Planet Murple was recognized by GSVlabs and Google Launchpad Pioneer Accelerator program, Haas Dean Seed Fund, Haas Healthcare Conference, and Big Ideas Competition. Now at Fuseproject, Emily partners with clients and designers to craft products and services that elevate and disrupt categories. Emily is a graduate of the Wharton School and Berkeley Haas MBA program.
