Hiro Iwanaga
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Talusag
As the Co-Founder of Talus Renewables, Hiro led the creation of the world’s first modular, zero-emissions green ammonia system, which has applications across agriculture, industrial, and renewable fuels. Talus’s inaugural installation in partnership with the Kenya Nut Company is replacing a costly and unreliable supply chain, increasing food security, and reducing carbon emissions—all while reducing overall costs for farmers. Mr. Iwanaga is a member of the Board of Directors for The Leo Project, a 501(c)(3) charity that offers adults and children in Kenya no-cost educational programs in art, coding, counseling, and more. He also serves as a member of the Association Board of Trustees for the San Francisco Ballet. Mr. Iwanaga received his Master of Science and a bachelor’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University in California.
