As Head of UK Domestic Private Bank, he is leader and Managing Director of 4 team managers, 50 bankers and associated private bank executives managing the affairs of Barclays’ wealthiest and highest profile private clients. James is a graduate of Durham University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment James previously worked for the Royal Family at Buckingham Palace as a Chief of Staff, supporting His Royal Highness's role as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. This appointment gave James a unique and high-level exposure to all facets of UK business. Prior to this James served for 8 years as a Royal Marines Commando officer, latterly as an attack helicopter pilot, retiring as Major.
