Unreasonable Mentors
Jamie Burdett
Co-founder of Worn Again Textiles
Jamie is an Unreasonable Mentor. Jamie was part of Unreasonable Impact UK 2016, and has advised over 10 Unreasonable companies.
Jamie began his career in advertising in 1997 working at Good Business, the ahead-of-its-time, cause-related marketing company. He then moved to St. Lukeʼs during their reign as UK advertising company of the year to work in socio-environmental communication. While there, Jamie was recruited by a wealthy European family to help found one of the world's first ethical venture capital companies, focusing on environmental and social business-based solutions. Then, he consulted on sustainability innovation and communications for a few years, and experimented with a couple of business ideas, which didn’t quite get off the ground.
In 2008, Jamie joined Worn Again, an up-cycling business, and became partners with the founder, turning it into a closed-loop textile innovation company. In the summer of 2012, he joined McCann to create McCann Pioneers. Pioneers is an economic transformation practice, which fuses sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship to help tackle the world’s biggest challenges.
