Sustainability Lead at Fletcher Priest Architects

Joanna is an Unreasonable Mentor.
Joanna is the Sustainability Lead at Fletcher Priest Architects. Joanna’s background in design research and as an Architect in the healthcare sector inform her holistic approach to sustainability. Her role sits across the scales of Fletcher Priest’s work in urban design, architecture and interiors. Joanna uses systems thinking to inform project and practice level strategies, as well as working closely with the practice’s research team to help drive innovation.
Joanna has a particular interest in the circular economy, and recently authored the Material Reuse Guide and Catalogue. The guides bring together collaborative industry and project-based research into a replicable process and toolkit for developing and implementing material reuse strategies.
Outside of her professional role, Joanna has completed a PGCert in Interdisciplinary Design for the Built Environment from Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership as well as her master’s from Cambridge University researching building resilience. Her research focuses include circularity and the UK Net Zero Carbon Standard. She has previously progressed through the Ellen McArthur Foundation's future leaders programme.
