Josh Yguado is the Founder and CEO of Secret Territory, a startup at the intersection of games, education and technology, exploring how play can help people learn and strengthen their thinking skills.
Previously, Josh co-founded Jam City and spent 16 years helping grow it into a global mobile gaming company, serving first as COO and later as CEO before exiting to Netmarble, a major publicly traded South Korean video game publisher. During his tenure, the company’s games surpassed 1.5 billion downloads and $4 billion in lifetime bookings, with a portfolio including Cookie Jam, Disney Emoji Blitz and Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
Earlier in his career, Josh held roles at Fox Entertainment Group, MTV Networks and Univision, including helping develop Hulu while at Fox. He is a Harvard College graduate and has served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Harvard Business School.
Josh is passionate about building products that combine commercial success with a positive impact on people’s lives. As a mentor, he enjoys helping founders navigate difficult decisions, build partnerships, and scale their companies while preserving creativity and a deep focus on product.
Raised in rural New Mexico, Josh lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children. Outside work, he enjoys painting, tennis and exploring new ideas.
