Karen is an independent strategic planning consultant and social psychologist. Clients for strategic consultancy, stakeholder research and societal innovation have included Vodafone and ISPCC on childhood resilience and cyber safety, Diageo, Bord Bia – Origin Green global sustainability programme, Science Gallery International and SMBC Aviation Capital. Most recently , she worked as Research Director in the Human Insights Lab in Accenture's Global Innovation Centre - the Dock, investigating new paradigms of regenerative business, collaborative cultures and leading systemic change. Academically she has a degree in Business, a H. Dip in Psychology and a PhD in social psychology from Trinity Centre for Global Health – on the role of purpose in framing stakeholder engagement around pro-social goals and co-curated the National Happiness Experiment with Vodafone, Science Gallery and Trinity School of Psychology. She is a Chairman of GIY - a social enterprise committed to inspiring and empowering people to grow, cook and eat their own food, across the world.
