Khushali Shah is an organizational leader with experience in building trust, fostering positive culture and reinventing process in complex organizations. She has worked with governments and non-profits to create social impact and is skilled in working with internal and external stakeholders to reach common goals. She was most recently the Chief Operations Officer for the Asia Society, a nonpartisan, non-profit organization started by John D. Rockefeller III to build bridges between Asia and the West. Khushali previously served as the interim Chief Operating Officer for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), a nonprofit founded by the Gates and Rockefeller Foundations committed to improving the lives of smallholder farmers across Africa. In this role, she was brought on by the Board to restructure and reinvent the organization. Khushali previously served in the U.S. Government, in the Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources at the U.S. Department of State, where she oversaw the allocation and use of the nearly $35 billion annual State Department and USAID foreign assistance budget; at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations; at the White House Office of Management and Budget; and on Capitol Hill.
