Kim is the CEO & Co-founder of Petra, a robotic underground construction company whose mission is to protect communities by undergrounding the world's critical infrastructure.
She has 17 years of experience in marketing and business development at organizations including NASA, Kingdom Holding, elastic, Puppet and other venture-backed tech companies. At NASA, as head of partnerships for the CTO for IT, Kim was part of the team that created OpenStack. During her three years spent in China, she worked for Kingdom Holding, Prince Alwaleed’s investment firm, as well as Asia-based startups. She was a Brookings Institute LEGIS Fellow on Capitol Hill. She is also a board member for Natasha’s Justice Project, a non-profit organization committed to clearing the backlog of rape kits in the United States.
