Kristian “K.G.” Moore is the Regional Hub Officer for Environment, Science, Technology, and Health Affairs. Based at the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen, he covers the Nordic, Baltic, and Western European regions. K.G. is a career U.S. diplomat and has served in various overseas assignments with the Department of State, including Ponta Delgada, Azores (Portugal), Brasilia, and most recently as Deputy Political-Economic Counselor in Tbilisi, Georgia. He also served in Washington as Senior Georgia Desk Officer and in the International Organization Bureau’s office of UN Political Affairs where he covered UN Security Council matters related to Europe, Children and Armed Conflict, Peacebuilding, and Women, Peace and Security. Prior to joining the State Department, K.G. practiced water law as an attorney in Denver, Colorado (via Vermont Law School and a judicial clerkship in Boulder, CO). He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Alba Iulia, Romania from 1995-1997.
