Max Levine is a Principal and co-leads CEA’s philanthropic services practice, serving foundations, nonprofits, and impact-oriented financial institutions. He typically leads teams developing strategies, quantitative analyses, and evaluations for marine, climate, and conservation finance engagements. Max recently developed a large family foundation’s impact investment strategy targeting technological solutions to improve ocean health, modelled the future climate impact of an early-stage construction company that uses bamboo instead of traditional materials, and is developing a strategy to responsibly promote offshore wind globally. Prior to joining CEA, Max served as an Associate for a boutique investment bank, which focused on structuring and raising debt and equity capital for rapid growth companies and providing advisory and capital raising services for specialty lenders, both domestically and internationally. Max was also a semi-professional rugby player playing domestically and internationally. Max earned a Bachelors degree from Middlebury College in International Politics and Economics and a Masters degree from The Johns Hopkins Universty in Applied Economics.
