Meena Sankaran is an entrepreneur striving to create change in the world through the power of technology and innovation. She has driven strategy and execution with her unique blend of business and technical acumen in several leadership roles globally.
Currently, she is the Founder & CEO of KETOS, a water intelligence startup that delivers actionable metrics and predictions on water safety and overall availability to help transform how businesses and people think about water.
She is a board member across several start-ups, advises and mentors entrepreneurs at Stanford, Berkeley, Northwestern and other universities and is regularly invited to speak at various conferences and events. This includes the United Nations panel on SDG #6 (Sustainable Development Goals) during the High-Level Political Forum Summit in 2018. 
Accolades: Meena has been highlighted by Forbes as one of eight Awe-Inspiring Women Founders. She was chosen by Nasdaq as one of the 2017 Milestone Makers and most recently given the 2019 Builders & Innovators award as one of the 100 most inspiring Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs. KETOS has also won several awards for its innovation both across India and the US including the Start-Up Disruption Award at the World Open Innovation Conference. KETOS also recently won the “Smart 50 Awards” – listing the Top 50 global technologies for smart cities. Other awards include the 2020 Breakthrough technology of the year at the Global Water Summit as well as Tracxn Minicorn for 2 years in a row.
Education: Meena has a BE in Electronics Engineering from India and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has also completed Foreign Policy studies through continuing education at Stanford University.
Additional Experiences:
Meena founded her first company, KloudXP, a design, engineering, and solution integration company, in 2016. Her prior work experience also includes various engineering, product and business roles at companies including Cumulus Networks, Big Switch Networks, Cisco and Countrywide Financial (now Bank of America).
Meena has also been the Founder of the W.IN.S (Women INner Strength), a women empowerment group that has organically grown with over 500+ members. The W.IN.S group inspires women to focus on their inner strength to achieve their highest potential without limiting their identity to only their careers. She is also the Founder & Executive Director of a 501©3 non-profit organization called PRERNA2Inspire which focuses on empowering underprivileged people to lead sustainable lives.
