Melissa Gordon is an investor, operator, and founder with experience spanning early-stage startups through billion-dollar consumer businesses. Her background sits at the intersection of consumer, wellness, health, and emerging science, with a focus on helping companies translate complex ideas into compelling brands, scalable operating models, and sustainable growth.
Melissa is the founder of IGC Growth, an advisory, investment, and acceleration platform she has led for the past nine years, where she works closely with founders and leadership teams across fundraising strategy, investor positioning, go-to-market development, operational scaling, and organizational growth. She also founded Optly, a modern operating platform for growing consumer and healthcare companies, providing flexible operational support and strategic consulting solutions tailored to scaling businesses.
Previously, Melissa was an investor at Acre Venture Partners, an early-stage impact venture capital firm focused on solutions advancing human and climate health. Prior to Acre, she led The Honest Company’s beauty division with full P&L responsibility and earlier held global marketing roles across Clinique, La Mer, and Tom Ford Beauty. She began her career in investment banking at Lazard Frères before moving into hedge funds and venture investing.
Melissa holds both her undergraduate degree and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
