Melody McCoy freshly retired, has had an extensive global career in initiatives spanning public policy, philanthropy, communications, and global health in more than 40 countries. With extensive experience in building partnerships and mobilizing resources, she is experienced in areas including:

As Vice President of Global Engagement and Communications at Johns Hopkins University's Jhpiego, Melody oversaw global public relations, donor development, and government affairs for a $400 million organization. Her work has included creating and managing a global team, developing an international advisory board, securing millions in philanthropic support, and leading the evacuation of staff and families from Afghanistan during the 2021 political transition. She was also the inaugural Executive Director of the Gupta-Klinsky India Institute at Johns Hopkins University, creating institutional partnerships, launching new initiatives in health, AI, and education, and securing significant philanthropic and research funding.
A skilled communicator and strategist, known for simplifying the complicated. Melody has held senior roles in congressional offices, nonprofit leadership, and advocacy organizations.
She lives in Maryland with her husband Sandy Cardin and is proud parent of 4 great humans and new grandmother to the world's cutest baby.
