Unreasonable Mentors

Mike Rios

Digital Innovation @ UNDP Executive Office, Former CIO 17 Triggers, Meditation Coach

Mike is an Unreasonable Mentor. Mike has participated in 6 programs, including Unreasonable Impact Asia Pacific 2021, and has advised over 70 Unreasonable companies.
While leading Digital Innovation initiatives at UNDP Executive Office, Mike's on the hunt for finding scale stage global "bright spots" in hopes to connect them to the 170 countries that UNDP serves.
Before joining UNDP, Mike spent the first chapter of his career working as a creative adman with multinational ad agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy, Phibious, and Fabrica. His past clients ranged from Nike to Coca-Cola to United Colors of Benetton. After the guilt of selling beers and cigarettes to people making less than a dollar a day caught up with him, he quit to start consulting for the development aid sector until opening 17 Triggers in 2010, a Behavior Change Design Lab, dedicated to working 100% on good causes. Mike led teams on 100+ projects across 20 countries in health, sanitation, water, agriculture, safe migration, human trafficking, financial services, education, climate change, gender equality, and more. Also a 2013 Unreasonable Fellow, Mike sold his shares in 2019.
