Her journey into skincare began at home, where her son’s challenges with sensitive skin inspired her to explore innovative solutions. She wanted to provide products that resonated with him and others facing similar skin concerns. This personal motivation, combined with her network of beauty experts, set the foundation for Monas Lab, a brand that prioritizes skin health through effective and gentle formulations for Gen Z.
Prior to Monas Lab, Mona worked as an investment banker in the consumer and retail sectors across New York, Hong Kong, and Seoul, gaining deep industry insight and M&A experience. She spent a decade at Shinsegae Group, Korea’s leading luxury retailer, as a head of strategy and business development. In addition to her business, she currently serves as member of the Presidential Committee of National Cohesion of Korea with focus on economic issues and policies. She is also an investment advisor of EQT AB and a consultant of Gil Partners Korea.
She is a graduate of Seoul National University and Wharton MBA.
