Nur has been the director of cutting edge teams at two separate prestigious innovation studios. She is responsible for designing, delivering, and advocating solutions to some of the world's most significant and complex problems, such as creating an identity system for 1.2 billion people in the world, a digital passport project for the United Nations. She is an accomplished designer as well as a leader. Over the last two decades, she has served in roles from UX to service/system design and enterprise digital transformation. Her work has garnered six patents and over a dozen awards, including the BBC iWonder Interaction Award and the D&AD Social Impact Award. She has formed award-winning teams across several countries and mentors the next generation of designers. Her deep-held belief is that happy teams create durable solutions that people love using.
Nur has pioneered a revolutionary new problem-solving approach, System Design. It combines the best of systems thinking and design thinking in a powerful hybrid, data-driven approach to large scale challenges. Her book in System Design is due to be available in the 2021 summer. Nur regularly mentors directors applying systems design to their companies and centres in transformational ways. She teaches at conferences globally and universities across Europe.
Her mission is to help the world create more ethical, sustainable, and useful solutions. She consults, mentors and regularly speaks on the future of design, building services with manners, and the ethical use of technology and AI. Nur says, "our society's hardest problems can be solved, but the solutions must be designed in systems.
