Born and raised in Venezuela, Patricia Halfen Wexler left her home country after graduating with honors in Industrial Engineering from Simon Bolivar University. She began her career in management consulting and investment banking across Latin America at BCG and DLJ, respectively. After obtaining her MBA with High Distinction from Harvard Business School, Patty joined The Walt Disney Company’s Strategic Planning Group and focused on the company’s consumer products businesses. She then joined Elevation Partners, a nearly $2 billion private equity fund focused on media and technology investments with emphasis on consumer web. Thereafter, she ran global business development for Locaweb, the leading Brazilian webhosting provider and a portfolio company of Silver Lake’s Sumeru fund. Thereafter she oversaw the McNamee family’s investments with a focus on early stage media and technology, as well as their philanthropic endeavors. In 2017 she co-founded Starlight Ventures, an early-stage fund backing entrepreneurs leveraging technological innovations to address humanity’s biggest challenges and opportunities. Patty lives in Miami with her husband and three young children.
